Shhhhhhhhhh don’t tell everyone 😉 I suppose you could call it one of the first cut and shut’s as it seems that every part but the fuselage from the Firewall back is from different spits but that’s what happens when a spit’s in service at an OTU for all that time, I blame the students.

Tom

I’ll post a piccie of a bit of R7125 when I can find find one.

No, he’s not. He’s saying that he can actually turn it into a whole squadron of Spitfires, as he has at least 12 rivets identifiable to different airframes.

And 1 is a Mark 1! This will be the oldest airworthy original Spitfire, and a BoB veteran to boot, once they bung some replacement panels around the rivet!

I bet it goes to America.

There’s nowt common about a lovely spitfire especially when you keep finding bits from other airframes that you didn’t know were there 😀

So what you’re saying is that that old Spitfire is infact a cut and shut job, like a written off Escort?

Hmmm, we’ll see, Kermit’s going to be a dad soon so Tempests aren’t exactly a priority at the mo 🙁

Might have to lend the Mrs the step ladder to give you a slapping cos I don’t think she’ll be too chuffed about that comment 😉
