I’ve never found one but I would recommend ‘By Jupiter!’ (the Life of Sir Roy Fedden of Bristol Aero-engines) by Bill Gunston.

It’s out of print but there is an expanded version available through the Rolls-Royce Heritage Trust (I think?).
