Taken from the PPRuNe forum – BBMF Lancaster suffered a ground loop earlier this week. Hasten to add it’s unconfirmed by any other sources that I can see so far. Hopefully no serious harm done. According to BBMF’s website she was due to arrive at RIAT yesterday (17th), but Flightline UK didn’t do a daily arrivals list for yesterday. Anyone know any more?

BBMF Lanc Ground Loop
Someone told me today that the BBMF Lanc had come off the runway and ground-looped while landing at its temporary home earlier this week. Is it Ok?

watched the local news this evening from RIAT and gurning idiot reporter was stood in front of the lanc (wearing a flying jacket – oh please), so it’s there for sure.

A little note of relief here! My Dad saw the Lanc take off at Cranwell at around 9am today. So if it did ground loop it wasn’t seriously damaged.
