Does the TFC still own the B-25D? it would be a real shame if it leaves the country!

Have to agree with Damien, would be great to see her back flying in the UK.She’s a fitting tribute to all the the Mitchell crews of the 2ndTAF,many of whom were Dutch,Norwiegen or French. As such I can’t help thinking she would be best kept as a european warbird.
The last thing I want is to see her disappear into the black hole known as Flying Heritage.:(

The B-25 is reputedly a Flying Heritage Collection aircraft now and I think that a major reason for no British collector operating a B-25 is that they aren’t exactly popular on the show circuit for the amount they cost to keep going per year, even the Willing Sea Prince struggles for bookings and it’s a lot cheaper to run than a B-25 so you can see my point.

i might be mistaken but havent the TFC had that hurrricane iv for ages? didnt they get it from the WOGB? didnt the restoration begin straight after they swoped their old hurricane? But i bet the restoration cost was alot for this hurricane, she looks lovely! This is a weird idea, but i think it would be nice if the TFC p- 40 was repainted in RAF desert colours also?
I know, i do really respect the TFC, but i would like it if a British collector bought the aircraft, we have no airworthy B-25s in the UK!

No idea what her future holds, but if moving the B25 on enables TFC to continue presenting us with such gems as Twilight Tear and the new Hurricane, I’m in favour. She’s a lovely aeroplane, but perhaps it’s time for a different airshow audience to appreciate her.
