[i]Originally posted by DROPTANK…as for the KI 43 have they still got it?. [/B]

So I was told a month back, doubt that they plan to get rid of it unless they’ve done a deal with something else.

Tom.

Hi Droptank,

Can’t believe you have nothing to say about the ‘Iraq Survivor’ thread – check it out.

I for one am going to watch the progress on the Mustang as closely as I can. It certainly reminds me of a few years back when the high back 51 appeared at the last moment and they worked their miracles and it was flying in the show. Someone said that this Mustang (the D model) actually flew in to Duxford so surely it cannot be an impossible task to have it flying for next month. Having said that when I visiting Hangar 2 at the weekend there were an awful lot of pieces missing and lots of wires sprouting from the cockpit so there is obviously still a lot to do. If it is going to be in 78th FG markings I can see someone having their work cut out with all those little black and white squares to set out and mask off. Perhaps it will just fly in bare metal – the important thing is, after all, the fact that it flies (or will fly), it could be painted later in the year.

Maybe we need a virtual Legends – Seafire FR47, Typhoon, Tempest, Mosquito and Hornet. Now I am really dreaming…

Well, I certainly cannot wait to see 12 Spitfires flying. This is what makes Legends the best show in Europe for me, that together with the unusual and rare items (hopefully the La-9, CAA permitting). What does everyone else look forward to about this airshow?
