Trailer – coming soon to this Forum

Kev wrote elsewhere “I could walk into a hangar and find it full of airmen who never came home. To discover what brand of courage sustained them, what bond of brotherhood bound them together, to share, in some vicarious way, their experiences.”

Well Friday was the 388th BG 60th anniversary reunion.

We were honoured with some 15 veterans making what will inevitably be their final visit to the field.

I cannot start to describe how humbled I was meeting these guys, talking to them, and flying with them over the disused’s of E Anglia whilst they dredged things from their memories that even they thought they had forgotten.

Also came across a treasure trove of wartime colour pics!!!!!!

No time now, but keep watching.

None, I’m afraid. Colt’s still on annual. 🙁

I was nav on the first flight of the Commanche, Awfully embarassing as, it being my home field, I dreaded being the one to get lost. So I concealed a Pilot III GPS in my pocket, but John Nicholl (The Tornado Nav) spotted me doing it and had a good laugh.

Well at least our aircraft made it home 😉

Hi Moggy,

Which of the aircraft were you flying on Friday at the reunion?
