Andy sweeps the board really, well done

It was indeed the savagely hacked-off wing of a VC10 which has been carved-up at St Athan.

It was in a lay-by in Mildenhall, awaiting a police escort for the remainder of its journey to the range at the Stanta training area in Norfolk.

The driver gave the serial as XA142. I know nothing about serials so can’t really comment as to whether Andy had it right, or he did.

The remainder of the aircraft will be following the same route when they can figure out how to get it on a low-loader.

More points than Geminii!!

Pleased to notice that even if Yak11 isn’t very good at Moggy spotting – you could have asked Vintage ATCO to point me out – he’s damn fine at predicting the UK score in the Eurovision!!!

Ooooh!

Andy is doing well.

Reckon he’s clocked up about 4 or 5 points there, getting the type spot-on.

“Somewhere if E Anglia” is a bit vague.

What you can’t see is that the wing has been dissected with the use of large angle-grinders rather than tools and science.

The colour is a bit misleading in the shot, the wing section is actually silver.

Any more offers. Answer coming Tuesday.

This is one of these…I know what it is but cant think of it at the moment type moments.

I’ve even tried looking around from back of my pc monitor to check out the other end view but that didnt help !

Its on a military trailer hence the funy registration No, but cant figure out why a bit from a civilian plane would be moved that way. Then I thought it must be current military… but black ? I can only think Hunter at the moment.

Now I’ve lost all credibility I’ll shut up and go and have another C*rlb*rg to calm my frayed nerves down

or maybey Sea Vixen ?

So thats where you were hiding on Friday Moggy, I was over at Knettishall ad was keeping an eye out for you but you were nowhere to be seen.

As for your quiz It looks like an old grey wing on an even older lorry.

From: Behind
To: Mildenhall

Don’t do spotting, sorry can’t give you the number

My prediction (on Eurovision night) Yak11Fan: Nil point
