Took a trip to the MAM at Coventry this afternoon. I’ve always liked this museum but haven’t managed to visit for two years. Since the last time I was there several of the aircraft have been repainted. At the moment Vulcan XL360 is in the process of being repainted and should be finished over the summer. Managed to have a look inside the Argosy. Seems in reasonable condition. The Voodoo looks good in its new coat, as does the Lightning. The Mig-21 seems surprisingly small. Anyway, here’s a couple of photos.

Kev,
It was Rob Davies in Big Beautiful Doll, having paid a visit to CFS. The Doll looked good when I saw it today around at the Aerofair and around Essex.

Whilst I was at Coventry yesterday I was moving from the bulding when a P-51 left heading south. Anyone have any idea which one it was and what it was doing there?

David,
showing my ignorance here but is the P111 the yellow a/c parked by the Vulcan? If it is the photograph I took was useless. However, it appears to be in good clean condition. I’ll post a few more photos.

Kev- did you photograph the Boulton Paul 111 – I would be interested to know her current condition.
