Look at the spokes ! Look at the spokes!
Guys,
found that Wapiti picture with ‘Spoked’ wheels – This is from the tabloid sized ‘Aviation News’ There is no date but the reading the news material i put the time frame of the issue I have as 1972-73. Note the Wapiti wheels which appeared to be the vintage car variety. The newspaper too has made the same quote!
The pic makes a nice study with Kabirs Current pic. What i notice is the full rudder length fin flash and painting of the serial on the rudder/fin. (more accurate?)
I wonder where those spoked wheels went and how the current set came! My vote goes to the Hindustan Motor’s Ambassador Car

Great Pictures
Great Pictures Kabir – Lovely composition and detail.
Arthur, In addition to the general display area, the IAF Museum has a restricted access display area where they have a Harvard, Spit VIII, Vampire FB52 , Tigermoth among other things. Though not flown, they are maintained at high standard. Some of the aircraft in the General display area – Like the Marut are also said to be maintained in ‘serviceable’ condition. Interpret it as you may.
Macky,
I vaguely recall seeing spoked wheels on it long time back (or maybe in some picture). But then I must have imagined them 😀

That’s not an ‘Ohisa’, it’s a Yokosuka M7 Okha, meaning Cherry Blossom. It was indeed a suicide missile, to be launched by aircraft (Mitsubishi Betty mostly).
Those aircraft look excellent by the way, especially the Su-7. Is their interior equally well preserved?
