Thats right RobAnt websites do need alot of work to keep them updated and add new sections etc.

The problem I have is I have loads of other commitments and my site is just something I do in my spare time yet people still like new updates so one of them things.

I’m desparately trying to find ways to improve them so I can add/remove/change information without having to manually edit each page! By simply uploading or changing entries in a database, for instance

You need to set up a cms their are plenty to pick from. Or set up a mysql database and php pages to display the content.

I think if websites aren’t updated within 8 weeks they should be automatically closed down.

And all the information contained thereon lost forever, no doubt. 🙁

I agree with Andrew, informational websites dont absolutely have to be updated regularly. It is nice if they are, but if you don’t have anything new to say, there’s no need.

I know both my personal and (more especially) business websites take up a great deal of my time – and I’m desparately trying to find ways to improve them so I can add/remove/change information without having to manually edit each page! By simply uploading or changing entries in a database, for instance.

Their’s no need to close websites down just cause their not updated every couple of weeks.

They take a lot of time to run and make content for and most are done in spare time.

Loads happening, 318 & 372 flying regularly, Gnat XS102 just completed a first air test, purchased a JP to help ease the introduction of the Hunter to our students. One Hunter just about ready for it first air test in 30 years and another (G-VETA) that should be ready soon after a rewire.

We have had a few problems with the web-site, we still own www.deltajets.com and it is to be relaunched in the next 3-4 weeks. We currently have airshow bookings for Abingdon, Waddington, RIAT, Middle Wallop, Brize Norton, Leuchars amongst others and not forgetting Kemble.

Hows that for starters!
