The other highlight was the bus which came to collect us on arrival went u/s: the driver forgot about the large red and white barrier at a checkpoint – oops!

I think you may be better off saving the image as a GIF.
Nearly all avatars, smileys, animated icons and such are GIFs and I’m pretty sure its a smaller file size than a JPG would be. You may be able to shave off a few kb’s that way.

Instructions worked a treat, right up until the point where it said the image is too big. 🙁 It’s a jpeg, and my pc says it’s 84kb.
Being utterly computer-illiterate, I have absolutely no idea whether that’s good or bad. All I know is it won’t work, and I’m far too tired to mess about with it tonight. So, if any of you kind souls could possibly post up some clues on how I can make it the right size, I’d be very grateful, and I’ll have a crack at it again tomorrow. G’night all.

Follow the instructions you find there. You will need to have an image no larger than 70 x 70 pixels and know where you have it filed so that you can ‘browse’ to it.
