Memorial to Mark.

Nice to see in the latest issue of Flypast a picture of a model of Mark preparing G-BOML for what was to be his last flight as part of a memorial to him at Sabadell Airport in Spain. About time, just wish there was something overhere.

RE: Memorial to Mark.

The Spanish memorial is by way of thanks for a pilot who gave his life bringing a Spanish-built aircraft back to Spain to perform. It is widely known that the Hanna family wish for no memorial for Mark in the UK. MH434, the other aircraft at OFMC and our memories of an incredible aviator are the finest memorial we can have to him.

RE: Memorial to Mark.

MH434 is a tribute to Mark in her own right, and doesn’t need any kind of fictitious nose art to remind us of one of the best warbird display pilots of all time.

Just keep it flying. Thats enough for me.

RE: Memorial to Mark.

Why not create a nose art for MH434 with the word `Mark`.

RE: Memorial to Mark.

There’s been alot of discussion about the possibilities of creating a memorial to those who’ve lost thier lives in display accidents here in the UK.The debate brought up a number of objections to the idea, some from the current display pilots themselves.
