P-51

Does anyone know (or heard any rumours!) if the P-51D’Jumpin Jacks’ which moved from France to the UK recently is being re-painted and if so in what scheme?

Thank for the info Ant, I think your right about there being enough Mustangs with 8th AF markings, but what about a nice 9th or 15th AF scheme ‘checkertail clan’,31st FG, or even staying with the pacific theatre 5th AF pehaps Shomo’s ‘Flying undertaker’which would go nicely with (when its finished) TFCs P-39 Brooklyn Bum 2 which flew with the same squadron.

Hi Sparky,
Last I heard,Jaques was in a hangar at Coventry with her prop off for an overhaul.Don’t know about a respray,although I actually rather like the current scheme.I know it’s a Pacific scheme and so doesn’t exactly fit in over East Anglia,but we’ve got so many European painted ’51s that it’d be nice to see something a bit different.
