Connie update

There is some news on Connie N749NL. It arrived without any problems in Holland this afternoon and was ferried to Schiphol later this day. In the next following weeks it will be repainted into KLM livery and, that is the good news, it is hoped and expected to keep it in the air for some time. So, with some luck, it will fly in the airshow 2003 season.

The shot was taken out of a Fokker F50 chase plane enroute to Lelystad. Not an ideal photo plane but a very inpressing sight to see a Connie flying at very close distance.

RE: Connie update

Cracking piccies…bet the guy on the throttles was busy, adjusting one then running back down the fuselage to see if the engines on one side where in sync with each other, however he did it, it worked. I love seeing multis with the engines all turning at the same time…shows pride and an engineer that cares about his work.

Cheers

Nice pictures Roger, thanks for posting them 🙂 It’s good news to hear that she’ll be flying a while longer-perhaps I’ll get to see her afterall 😀

RE: Connie update

It’s just got to be one of the most beautiful aeroplanes ever built. And those engines!!!
