Don’t know if anyone else saw this on the “BBC Holiday – You call the shots” programme, but there was an item during the reports of what to do in Cape Town about Thunder City. The reporter was fortunate to go up in a Buccaneer, but came back with a full sick bag!!
The cost if you’re interested is £4150 for a 40 minute flight!! There was a bit of in-cockpit footage and a glimpse of their Hunter in the report too.
Another treat to add to the wishlist……..

£4150……whats that? about 105 quid a min’ look at it another way, if you were sick half the time, 2000 quid’s worth of spew, he he he,:7 :7 . wouldent mind having a go though.
I remember seeing on the old thunder city web site, a thing about what i think they called the “lighting flying club” if my memory serves me, you got a 2 week holiday “all in” plus a go in the aircraft for, i think 10 or 11 grand. does anyone know for sure?

Yeah, I saw that show as well, I’d love to go to Thunder City but I’d sooner go up in the Lightning T.5, I wonder if they perform the classic Lightning rotation?, I guess they probably don’t to preserve fatigue life, oh well I can always dream!
