The following is a picture from the IAF’s 10th Anniversary celebrations way back in 1943. The person in the foreground is Sqn Ldr Mehar Singh, who later got the DSO (the only person to get it in the IAF)
Now what is the aircraft behind him? It appears a low wing, so certainly not a Lysander, and it has a three bladed prop, not a Harvard either, and the wing is small enough, not a blienhiem either. Any guesses?
Thanks in Advance

Definately looks like a Vultee Vengance. Initial thought was some kind of Grumman, but they didn’t make many if any with a low wing configuration.
