Hello? Anyone there?

Help! Am I the only one stuck here in the old board? The new board crashed on me at lunch time and now I can only find the old board…

Where is everyone?!? ~waving my fluffy Spitfire polishing brush hopefully~

RE: Organising things in breweries

I am in agreement here…ok there are some improvements that could be made to this board but I thought the new forum was just too jazzy…one of the reasons I frequent this board is that it is clear to understand unlike some other boards…

And a little notice would have been nice too!

“a) let people know in advance.
b) allow existing users to retain their existing passwords and access rights, and
c) if b isn’t possible, at least make sure the password retrieval and/or new registration process works”

Bloody well said. Spent ages trying to get into the poxy forum last night. Pah. What is wrong with this one? Too expensive? I am fed up big time.

Hmmm, yeah, well, apart from images and votes, what has the new board ever done for us? (Paraphrasing Life of Brian. 😉 Younger members, ask yer dad. 😉 )

Organising things in breweries

What an absolute b****y fiasco! Come on FlyPast, get your act together!

Some tips for next time you try to change your board:

a) let people know in advance.
b) allow existing users to retain their existing passwords and access rights, and
c) if b isn’t possible, at least make sure the password retrieval and/or new registration process works!

The general consensus on some other discussion boards is that FlyPast is starting to lose it’s status as the number one Historic Aviation magazine. As far as I’m concerned Aeroplane Monthly and various others have made great strides in this area. Note to FlyPast staff – events of the last couple of days haven’t helped enhance your reputation.

If we’re voting about whether to keep the old forum or go for the new, my vote is firmly with the old. It wasn’t broken, so don’t fix it.

Rant over. I’m off to build a Beau.

RE: Hello? Anyone there?

Ashley,

I agree. How about starting a campaign to keep the old board but add in the new smilies? I’m probably going to be told off now because this should be on GD.

RE: Hello? Anyone there?

It seems really weird just three of us being ‘on’ at the moment, I daresay it will pick up later. Did anybody else have loads of emails today telling us we’d had replies? I think I had almost twenty, terribly confusing to someone of my advanced age…..

I can’t help thinking that I prefer the old board…it’s so clearly set out and easy to use…but I did like those new smilies…
