Just received our local paper, ans according to that, Night Flight part 1 is to be show on saturday Feb 2nd on BBC2 (no time given).

nah -in the telegraph on saturday they saying that this view is wrong and people want military stuff like blackhawk down and the f18 bosnia one.

The BBC programme is trailed in this week’s Radio Times.
Still no indication of the on-air date, but it does look as if it will make it to the schedule this spribng.
Not a straightforward wartime drama, it appears to be set partly present day and partly in the 40s.

I would guess that as it was listed in the ‘new season’ preview thing I saw on BBC teletext, it may well be this end of the year-I hope so, anyway! It’s not on in the next fortnight for sure, but let’s all keep our eyes peeled-and hope the film of ‘611 tail-high at speed is worth the wait!

Winter 2002!! Which end of the year were they on about? Jan & Feb or Nov & Dec? All very vague for a multi-million pound professional organisation 🙁
I heard on the grapevine there is ANOTHER similar programme in the plannig, anyone else heard same rumour?

Just for info, I received a reply only yesterday to my emailed enquiry on this topic from INFO@BBC.CO.UK.
The response reads:-
“I have checked the schedule notes for this forthcoming BBC drama. It is listed as a Winter 2002 BBC One programme. As yet there is no confirmed date for transmission. Programme listings are usually confirmed 10 days before broadcast.”
I guess we’ll all have to be vigilant – first one to discover a definite schedule, please post!

You haven’t missed it mate, I’ve been waiting for it for ages too! Currently on BBC teletext there is a preview section for the coming year and it’s mentioned there as a ‘one-off drama’ and is still called ‘Night Flight’. Everyone keep their eyes peeled for this one!
