The big problem is how many museums are going to be buying parts for F14s? not many i would have thought as most (if not all) of the F14s were delivered direct from Squadron service so are pretty complete anyway.

Obviously these aircraft were de-militarised (unlike Bellasario’s one’s) before hand over but that is no major thing as they would not have needed to strip them to keep others in service or anything so is this just some political sabre rattling to look like they are addressing a NON issue.

The other thing with the F14 is some of their systems are unique to the aircraft, one way or another especially in the A models that Iran has, that is why they have been retro fitting them with off the shelf equipment or backwards engineering some things where possible so maybe the bill is largely unnecassary anyway ?
