Mark Petrie on displaying the BAC Strikemaster

Here is an interview with Strikemaster display pilot, Mark Petrie. He gives a great insight into what its like to fly and display the Strikemaster on the airshow display circuit, including some footage from the cockpit.

Long time before retirement from Royal Oman Air Force all Omani Strike Masters were in gray camo . one can be seen as gate keeper here in the gray camo: 23°33’41.3″N 58°22’24.7″E

Only a pity he didn’t dicuss the livery. It would look so much more interesting at air shows in the original Omani sand-brown camo than in grey.

In fact I’ve given-up trying to photograph that aircraft. If I wanted to see grey camo against a grey sky I’d stand at the end of the Lakenheath runway.
