Could the AIM-9L and magic 2 be cued to the radar? If yes, could it be used for a head on shot and look down shootdown shot? I imagine that yes but I’m not sure. How effective was it? What was the off boresight angle of these missiles seekers?
In particular, I wonder about the ability of the F-16A to intercept very low and fast flying attack aircraft like the Su-24.
