This is what you get

IMO it is kind of sad when we get a new plane like the F-35 and it performs way below par. Way back in the 50s most of the new fighters performed well right from the git go. Some like the F8U Crusader the F-106, the F-105 and the F4 Phantom were exceptional.

What is the reason with all the computers we have these days, that we get a turkey like the F-35. Is it as I have posted before that they try to make one plane a do all end all all things to all people machine? I still say we really need two lines of planes, pure fighters, and a line of attack aircraft.
