MALD-J effectivenes in Air Superiority

How capable is MALD-J as a decoy in air-air combat? Or is it purely IADs?

MALD-J does two functions. Decoy and jam. Most air units are armed with infrared sensors which can zoom in on the MALD and distinguish it from decoy or not. Also they may not work against AESA radar armed with Inverse Sythetic Appeture(ISAR) which can create a picture of the target.

Jamming wise they have to be pre-set to jam a certain target. How capable is it against AESA frequency hopping?
