I knew something like this:
P-8 is a multi-mission aircraft, but mainly surface hunt with sonar (hearing noise level), FLIR (detect infrared signature) and MAD (detect magnetic) agasint submarine. Able to collect secondary signal (eg: the radar, antenna on enemy ships), as well as launcher Harpoon anti-ship capability
E-3 aircraft is airborne early warning, warning primarily target aircraft by RCS information (with the ability to detect surface targets secondary). Main role is air battle command and control aircraft , capable of providing parameters and guiding missiles AIM- 120 AAM or SM-6 SAM (I heard the E-2D, but I think E-3 also has this capability)
RC-135 is a signal detection plane battlefield, mainly the communication, electromagnetic spectrum…. between the radar system, SAM, AA gun surfaces or other electromagnetic waves of enemy. Another important role is the direct secure link between the military hardware together (AWACS, Fighters, Satelines, Aircraft carriers, ground base airdefence)
E-8 is the control ground battlefield data, long-range, aka air-to-ground surveillance system designed to locate, classify and track ground targets in all weather conditions. aggregate data decision fighting. Mainly for anti-radar mission (SEAD/DEAD)
All of them use the Link-16. Then the directions or instructions for AH-64, F-16, F-15, F/A-18, MH-60, B-1B attack targets on the ground or at sea
