The record card does state – overseas – but no indication of where she went. Although another Mustang which is close in serial number did venture to warmer climes, it cant be assumed from what I have that there is no indication as to what units she served with in WW2. I had this problem when researching the history of another British P-51D, when out of the blue some ‘records’ were found saying that it had seen combat service. I for one am always very curious as to what the sources are.
