I was just thinking that as a2a missiles become bigger, it may be increasingly possible to shoot them down. The RIM-116 can shoot down a wide variety of missiles for a ship, perhaps it could be adopted (with a smaller booster and optimized aerodynamics) to shoot down incoming BVR missiles?
I have also heard rumours that the IRST can already be used as such (???!)
What do you guys think? Do you think that the time is ripe for an anti a2a missile?
