Which way will the UK go….?

So, this may be premature but I am concious that there is now discussion of post Typhoon/Rafale projects on two other threads.

Just found this interesting article from defensenews.com referencing a just signed defence research pact between the US and UK:

As well as discussion of intelligence gathering, counter terrorism and satellite programmes there is this quote:

“Aside from setting up the new programs Dunne said the two sides were also looking to take forward existing programs already being pursued under collaborative arrangements.

“We are looking at building on existing high profile projects, such as next generation aircraft beyond the F-35, force protection, counter terrorism and chemical and biological defense,” he said in a telephone interview Feb 24.

Sooo riddle me that….
