Teja vs Mig-21

Since Teja will/should replace Mig-21 in Indian Air Force, I just wonder how both aircraft compares aerodynamically.

We all know that Teja has better engine, electronics, weapons …

However, is it really a step forward regarding flight characteristic or just mere replacement?
