Pardon a repeat post, but I cant find where I posted this before. The top speed of an F-14 is alway listed as 2.34 mach. Wasnt that the speed listed with the Pratt engines. With 30% more power from the GE engines it would seem that the top speed would have been a lot faster. Or———–is the airframe limited to this speed. Or maybe heat limited.
Are there any Tomcat drivers here that can clear this up?
