One of the most interesting events of the 1965 India-Pakistan War was an incident on 7/09/65 when Pakistani pilot Muhammad Mahmood Alam shot down 5 Hawker Hunters in a minute, 4 of them within 30 seconds. He was flying an F-86.

It still seems almost fantastic.
I’ve not even read of this kind of action in Eastern Front WWII, where aces such as Erich “Bubi Hartmann” shot down 352 Russian aircraft and even managed 4 USAAC P-51s in a single mission.
Though it would appear the Indian Hunter flight exhibited poor tactical awareness and tactical ability (a better tactics might’ve been to be more spread out or separated into mutually supporting flight of 2-3 aircraft).
