So interesting

Forgive me is this isnt the proper forum for what I am posting.

Today I was out for a ride on my recumbent trike. An older man stopped me to ask about it, this is not unusual when riding a tirke. We talked about the trike for a minute or two but something was said about age. He told me that he was 89. I asked if he was in WWII and he said yes. A hugely interesting converstion ensued. He was a radioman on a B-17 flying is southern Europe.

The reason I posted this here even tho it says “Modern Military Aviation” I think that almost all members here would have found him interesting. For being 89 he was in great shape and really sharp. Much of what he said still applies to today modern military. And the big thing is with more than 1000 WWII vets dying every day———-if you get a chance talk to one, listen and learn. He was a great example of the Grand Generation. We owe him and others like him so much.
