Apparent exclusive: UK in talks to assist Syrian rebels including air support

Apparently a coalition of France, UK, USA and a number of Arab countries are planning to assist Syrian rebels by providing training as well as maritime and air support.

Whatever the case, why are NATO troops fighting Al Qaeda in Afghanistan, Yemen and then providing air support for them over Libya and now apparently planning to do so over Syria? The jihadist only gain in those sort of thing – just like they did in Libya (which in turn influenced events in Mali in favour of Islamism).

And why is the US and co so intent on destroying the little credibility the UN has?

Unliateral activity gives a carte blanche to other countries pursuing their own agendas.
