IHI's XF5-1 engine good?

not in production yet but specs are:
Dry thrust: 5 tonnes or 49kn
making it close to the French Snecma M88

doesn’t seem like its going to come out by 2014, which is why the ATD-X is considering using foreign engines

XF3-400 – supersonic version
F-7 – P-1’s engine
TF40-IHI-801A – Japanese built Ardour
