The next SDSR is due after the general election in 2015 and I am trying to understand what decisions will be made before then.
As far as I can tell several programmes will have come into service by 2015 such as the new tankers, Watchkeeper, Rivet Joint, the latest Chinook order and most of the Typhoon Tranches 2 and 3A.
It has been stated in the 2010 SDSR that the 2015 review should make formal decisions regarding the Trident Successor programme and the second CVF.
Some programmes are under contract but will still be delivering in 2015, I’m thinking Wildcat and A400M.
However there are programmes that require decisions between now and 2015 and may be vulnerable to financial realities including the F-35 and Typhoon Tranche 3B (or has this already been cancelled?).
Any clarification is greatly appreciated.
