M2K Vs MMRCA

This thread is just to compare some specifics of the MMRCA contestants with the Mirage-2000, an aircraft that constituted the original plan. As per my old info (IT & other sources, mid-late 90s), the original plan was to buy the M2K from French stock and upgrade it to the M2K-5 standard. The benefit was to have a speedy induction for IAF while the French benefit, in addition to monetary, was to get-rid of their M2K and replace them with newer Rafales. But probably the single vendor deal got cancelled due to earlier shady deal during the mid-90s for 10x M2Ks which India had to buy at a premium due to an insider leaking of the urgent necessary for IAF due to depleted numbers. (again mid-90s reports from IT, etc)

Please post the relevant data and the sources for it (if available) for the following aircrafts, limiting mine is bigger than yours would be very much appreciated. TIA. 🙂
