Aircraft Price Thread

G`day gents

I dont know if I have had a crack at this before :confused:
But I am interesting in starting a thread on the cost estimates / payed by given air forces, army`s and navy`s for aircraft purchased.
For example I recently found an article dated 2005, a recent deal with Jordan (2005) for the stretched IL-76MF (fully westernized version) worked out to about $50 million per plane. The cost of a comparable American C-17 is about $160 million, the Airbus A400M will cost about $100-120 million each, and a C-130J Hercules costs about $66 million.
Now it is interesting that depending on the client country/military, the number of platforms purchased, spares, weapons and avionics fitted can naturally alter the purchase price. It would be good to have a quick reference such as this to compare the value and viability of given purchases in my opinion.
Could I also ask that if you find a more up to date price of a given aircraft, could you post it!

As per my example given, I will give the cost of the following platforms:

Ilyushin Il-76MFCandid (as 2005) about $50 million each.

Lockheed C-130J Hercules (2005) about $66 million each.

Airbus A400M (2005) about $100-120 million each.

Boeing C-17A Globemaster III (2005) about $160 million each.
