BVR capability of Israeli F-16A/C

Did the israeli F-16s have any BVR capability in the 1980s and early 1990s, i.e before the AIM-120 was inducted into the IDAF

Were the israeli F-16s adapted to carry the AIM-7 in the 1980s and early 90s ?
