MiG-17 Fresco

Yeah I know I’m doing it again…

In any case I have some questions on this bird I was hoping could be answered.

1. I’ve often heard of MiG-17’s being fitted with Atoll missiles and that those so fitted were called MiG-17AS although I’ve also heard of that designation being used for a fighter-bomber variant. Does anyone know the truth?

2. Was the MiG-17AS a modified MiG-17/MiG-17A airframe or was it based on the later MiG-17F?

3. Were Polish Lim-6bis fighter-bombers capable of carrying bombs on their inboard pylons or were those only used for rocket pods?

I have more questions, but I’ll see how it goes getting answers to these first.
