Your Personal Favourite Fighter/Intercepter Of The Cold War?

That, and why?

Mine, has to be the BAC/EE Lightning, although I’m guessing some of you have already figured that one out. 😀

And why; it was a brute of a thing, very good looking, (I think anyway) a strange and unusual design even by todays standards as well as performance which will but some of todays Fighter/Interceptors to shame, cought up with AND over-took Concorde on an training excercise when others such as; F-15’s F-16’s, Mirages etc couldn’t, intercepted a U-2 spyplane at 80.000+ft, (A cup of tea thrown in a Yanks face, nice one! :diablo:), just an outright ruddy good Fighter/Intercepter.
