As long as the movie shows the thrilling climax of the final bomb being dropped, while Gibson flys in front of the ack ack to divert fire, I couldnt care less if they have hills in the background or the wrong trees, or the wrong hangars. Any enthusiast knows this isnt the real Scampton and hopefully some new punters will be thrilled by the movie and become enthusiasts.

I have lost count of how many “German” airfields have C-type hangars in them, in old WW2 movies!

I must admit i couldnt have cared less about the fact that the scenery is DBW wasnt right, the film itself was far too entertaining to make me think of such things!

I quite agree with you, there were always so many things going on in DBW that worrying about the scenery was not an issue, apart from that, a bit of temporary camo paint slapped on those hangars at Wigram and they’ll look the dogs, oops, shouldn’t have said that.
