Tilt Rotor Question

This is something I’ve been pondering over since Farnbourgh. And the thought popped into my head again last night whilst trying to sleep.

The Bell/Agusta 609 put on a great display, but it got me wondering whilst it was hovering…

How exactly does the aircraft move about whilst it is hovering? I understand how a helicopter does it, through the angle of the rotary wing.

I know the V-22/609 can tilt the rotors forward, and a little back, but how does an aircraft like this strafe, and rotate 360 degrees around its axis? are the propeller blades able to tilt like a helicopters? i cant see that happening !!

does it use a venting system like the harrier?

someone in the know please put me out of my misery thanks
