As mentioned in the Pakistan thread Pakistan has ordered 36 J-10:
And India may get Gripen NG…
So, how do those two compare? Any thoughts?

My guess:
The Selex Vixen will outclass the Selex Gripo 🙂 Also the rest of the Gripen avionics will most likely be stronger than the J-10. Gripen will have lower RCS and IR signature.
And also importantly, the Gripen missiles will most likely have a slightly higher Pk. AFAIK PL-8 is more or less the Python 3, and PL-12 is said to be “slightly inferior to AIM-120C”.
