need help identifing mig-21 modification

hiya

this mig-21 has been modified to carry the ASO-2 flare dispenser underneath the rear part of the wings

ive never seen anything like this before..does anybody know if this was a MiG mod or even a russian mod?

it looks like its a Su-22 type faring? would it be fair to guess its present on both sides as i cant find any other examples?

first ive seen of a mig receiving a defensive upgrade akin to the 3rd party ones applied to mig-21s almost a decade later!
