Accident in the sky over Zhukovsky
In the afternoon on August, 16th in the sky over Zhukovsky during training flight on the threshold of air show МАКС-2009 two fighters Su-27 of flight group “Russian Vityazy(Russkie Vityazy)” have faced. Failure has occurred at height of 300 metres over the earth during maneuver performance. Pilots have managed to catapult. Soon after state of emergency there was an information that all three pilots remained are live, however later was found out that one of them – the commander of “Russian Vityazi” Igor Tkachenko – was lost, and another has broken a backbone.
