G-LOC sensor

Some cars come with sensors to detect when you are dozing off behind the wheel, why not something similar to detect G-LOC and put the plane in a safe course (such as not flying into the ground)?

Several crashes have been attributed to G-LOC so it would seem to be something that would save lots of lives and money.
