Flight International 31 March to 06 April 2009 page 9 reports that Boeing X-51A Hypersonic – Mach 5 capable will fly on 27 October 2009.
Report states that it has an aluminium frame, tungsten nose, and uses the F-35 digital engine control system used for Pratt & Whitney F119 engines.

Can anyone confirm this or have any more news on it?
I was also wondering how the Oxford, UK based Reaction Engines Ltd team’s Lapcat Mach 5 – liquid hydrogen powered (Oz in 4 hrs across the Barrants Sea) was progressing – again any news ?
