As an avid reader of AFM for many years, I still enjoy the magazine (though I don’t have as much time to read them cover to cover like I used to), although there is one thing I think would be a nice change.
How about a change to the main cover photo? I mean for years all we’ve seen is the same set of about 8 or 10 different fighters. F-16’s, Tornado’s, Typhoons, F-15’s, A-10’s, F-22’s, MiG-29’s, Su-30’s, etc. Every now and then they put something different (an Apache, an F-4, an EA-6, etc.), but what about branching out into stuff like airlifters or more helicopters or perhaps more exotic fighter/attack types.
Perhaps an Il-76, a KC-135, an E-8, an An-124, an Mi-8, an Mi-24, a Gazelle, an OH-58…..etc.
What do you all think of the idea? I know a simple posting on the forum won’t likely change much but perhaps if enough interest is posed, then something could be done? I mean the magazine is about military aviation and well know that covers much more than the latest pointy nosed birds flying around. 🙂
