I’m working on a project and had some questions about the French Air Force and Navy’s doctrine and was hoping someone could help me out. I don’t read French and I’m not fond of the accuracy online translation offers so I figured I’d ask here.
1. Does France allow female combat pilots?
2. What would be the most likely replacement for the Alpha Jet as a trainer and “hack” for fast jet units?
3. What is the “eye” symbol (it looks like an eye with eye lashes or a setting sun) usually stenciled on the side of the airframe under the cockpit?
4. If France had to move combat aviation assets (Rafale, M-2k) into the Caribbean, how many aircraft would the civil airports on Martinique and Guadalupe be able to comfortably support? Are there additional bases in Fr. Guyana?
