New cockpit displays for B-2 (and others?)

Wonder if the F-35 touchscreen-display/HMD combo could be used.
Basically that arrangement ends the evolution of the cockpit layouts, as it’s universal and it should be possible to adapt the basic idea for all other manned platforms.

Does anyone have information how much damage the F-35 display system can take?
Like a shrapnell through it? If you do it right, it should be able to survive with holes in it, or at least redirect the graphics elements to avoid the damaged areas.
And maybe information about the minimum operating temperature?
