Lakenheath…HOME OF THE RAPTOR ?

There was a story on BBC Look East (regional news) yesterday (Monday 4th) in regard to the future of RAF Lakenheath in Suffolk.

The report said that there was increased ‘speculation’ that the USAF is to base F-22’s there to replace the F-15C’s.

The BBC reporter contacted Lakenheath, with an airbase press officer saying that the arrival of the F-22 is “Not out of the realms of possibility”

As usual, there was media ****-up, with the first few seconds of their F-22 library pictures not being an F-22 at all, but an F/A-18 hornet!:diablo:

Where this speculation came from, i’m not sure, but it would be superb if this came true!!
